Who we are
Here at Melrose Memorable Moments, we believe that one special moment can lead to a million special memories. Having been married to my beautiful husband Kevin since 1990, I have been lucky to have many special memories since the moment I said ‘I Do’.
Living on the beautiful South Coast of NSW in Shell Cove, and formerly Mollymook, our pace of life is full of sun, beach, love and our gorgeous Border Collie Pepper. Our beautiful children Sheridan and Justin keep us young and busy, both living in Sydney, pursing their careers and passions. The cherub of our life is our granddaughter Lila, who we will forever spoil rotten in an abundance of cheeky milkshakes and warm cuddles.
Like every happy couple, Kevin and I work as a team, and I am very lucky to have his support. In-fact, Kevin comes along as my roadie to all my wedding ceremonies, he plays the music for your ceremony through my PA system and co-ordinates the sound for the microphones. He’s also my navigation man, barista and without a doubt ‘the love of my life’.
Why I Become A Celebrant/Master of Ceremonies?
Having owned a dance school for 35 years (The Julie Melrose School of Dance) out in Sydneys North-West, I was heavily involved in the lives of my students and their families, celebrating their ups and downs, their achievements and ambitions. I knew once I put the tap shoes away that I wanted to continue this legacy of being a part of important moments in peoples lives, embracing my new role as a Celebrant/Master of Ceremonies as part of Melrose Memorable Moments. You could say becoming a celebrant was a natural progression, a progression of my performance skills, and forever a passion of mine.
To stand there with you, whether on your special day, saying goodbye to a loved one, the announcement of a new-born baby, or maybe just to celebrate love in all its forms between two loving people, it is always a pleasure to be there for you.
I love hearing your story and working with you to create a ceremony/event, no matter the arrangement, that truly reflects your needs and wishes. Creating a ceremony to help families cherish the ones they hold dear and to create a service that defines a moment in time brings me so much joy and at times, a happy tear to my eyes. I want to ensure that every detail is taken care of, making your ceremony/event as stress-free and magical as possible.
